A contemporary hand thrown stoneware bowl vase. It has a wide, angular bowl form with steep, slightly angled sides and a horizontal ribbed band to the base section. It has a smaller conical matching pedestal, which was thrown separately and glaze-fused to the bowl during firing. It has a deep teal to black semi-matte glaze with the ribbed textured having the glaze wiped back to leave a bisqued state, showing a stain application. It is open at the foot, and is unmarked.
