A Mid Century Modern stylized ribbon mahogany cabinet or credenza by John Widdicomb. The cabinet features off center left bi-fold door with decorative brass star pulls. There are three drawers, two of which feature divisions.

John Widdicomb Co grew from the wood shop of John Widdicomb. The company has changed hands and styles many times through it’s history. John L Stuart and his family controlled the company in the 1940’s – 1960’s, when this particular piece was designed. Other notable designers at Widdicomb at the time were T H Robsjohn-Gibbings and George Nakashima.
